Showy Beardtongue - Penstemon spectabilis - One of the most durable species found in many meadows or wildflower areas. It is the showiest of the penstemons with spectacularly beautiful purple-blue or violet tubular flowers. It is a shrubby perennial and is very attractive to hummingbirds and a multitude of different pollinators. Blooms May -July. SUN TO PARTIAL SHADE (does best in full sun).
